The Bible counsels us to “Train up a child in the way he should go,” then immediately holds out to us the encouraging promise that “when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
Our sincere desire at Canterbury is to take this important command and start children in their formative elementary years on that very path which leads them in “the way they should go.” The teaching and training of children of necessity includes the development of character. At Canterbury, in addition to teaching respect for adults and peers, we teach kindness, manners, organizational skills, self-discipline, responsibility, and solid academics.
